![]() PHASE I: OUTLOOK TO EXCEL On September 21, Kitty discovers the only way she can export the data in the Outlook Calendar to another file is by logging on as The Boss. IT provides Kitty’s boss with The Boss’s password. Kitty’s boss gives it to Kitty and that problem is resolved. Kitty logs in as The Boss and experiments with the Import/Export Wizard in Outlook to generate a usable file of appointment data. Outlook does not have an option to export to Word, so Kitty tries exporting to an Access database. She encounters a problem because Access does not recognize the exported dates and times as numbers. She also finds that, through a programming fluke, Outlook will not export to an existing Access database. Outlook insists on creating its own database (and overwrites any database it finds with the same name). Kitty abandons Access and tries exporting to an Excel file instead. After a bit of experimentation, Kitty discovers the following process works:
