Subject: Buffaloes Year: 1914 Sculptor: Alexander Phimister Proctor Location: Dupont Circle ( Q Street & 23rd ) Not a memorial, but a great statue anyway. Four buffaloes guard the Dumbarton Bridge, giving it its nickname the "Buffalo Bridge." The sculptor also produced the tigers that guard the 16th Street Bridge.
